    1887 - 1889 city directories for St. Joseph, MO show that Clement M. Hooper resided first at 1204 Farson and later at 101 N. 15th. He continued in the grain business and worked for the R. T. Davis Mill Company. His son Edward W. Hooper lived with him, and worked as a businessman, first for Schuster, Hingston & Company, and later for Richmond & McGuire. Frank B. Hooper resided in 1887 and 1888 at 703 Hall, and worked as a salesman for Schuster, Hingston & Company.
  4. William P. Hooper (son of Abraham)
    William Hooper was first married to Sarah L. Arnold on 3/12/1857. His second marriage occurred in Clay County, MO to Millard F. Arnold in June 1869. Both marriages were performed by Minister of the Gospel Henry Hill. The maiden name of his third wife is unknown.

    1870 Sarah Elizabeth and her husband were listed near the top of this web page with her mother Sarah Hooper within the household.

    In 1880, daughter Emma Stephens was listed above in the Atchison County home of her maternal aunt Sarah Elizabeth (Hooper) Pate, who had her own daughter of similar age. Daughter Belle Stephens lived with her maternal uncle Abraham Hooper, also in Atchison County. Both of Abraham's own daughters had died at young ages. Also in Atchison, about six pages before the Pate family where her younger sister was living, was the daughter who had been listed last on the 1875 census:
