These images show the acknowledgement and certifications of the Power of Attorney given by the heirs of Jesse Hooper of Tennessee. The acknowledgement is the fourth page of an action filed by the heirs to gain the accrued pension due to Jesse Hooper. The cropped fifth page of the action contains a final certification necessary for the case. The thin paper of the document allows bleed-through of the writing from the opposite side of the paper. A wax seal was affixed to the sheet, and a linen strip attached thereto. A small piece of thin paper connects to the other end of the linen strip to cover and protect the seal.
